Meet Aguas Migrantes

At the heart of our work is cultural exchange and co-creation. This project emerged from a shared vision: to foster meaningful connections through the arts while challenging limiting narratives about our communities. As working-class migrant artists, educators, and organizers, we build bridges across borders, experiences, and generations.

Guided by deep respect for the wisdom within our communities, we see art as a powerful tool for reclaiming our stories, transmitting knowledge, and creating spaces for authentic exchange in a rapidly changing world.

Our Mission

The mission of Aguas Migrantes is to connect our communities through art by exploring and sharing the migration stories, traditions, and cultural expressions of our homelands. We carry out this work by engaging directly with our communities through free workshops, collaborative mural projects, independent film festivals, artist residencies, and culminating exhibitions.
